Structural composition
The starter end cover is divided into a front end cover and a rear end cover:
Front end cover: usually made of steel plate pressing or cast iron casting, supporting transmission mechanisms (such as one-way clutches, shift forks, etc.), and equipped with drive gear stroke adjustment screws.
Rear end cover: mostly cast with gray cast iron, equipped with electric brush holder, electric brush and bearing inside, providing support and protection for the armature.Core functionality
Support and positioning: Fix the armature shaft, magnetic poles, and other components to ensure the stability of the internal structure of the starter.
Sealing protection: prevent oil and water vapor from entering the armature shaft end, and prevent insulation layer aging.
Heat dissipation and electromagnetic shielding: assist in maintaining magnetic field uniformity and reducing brush jumping; Reduce start stop response delay by matching the thermal expansion coefficient of materials in high or low temperature environments.
Mechanical positioning: fastened with bolts to the starter housing to ensure overall structural rigidity.
